How do I check a supplement's NPN?

An NPN (Natural Product Number) is the 8-digit licence number Health Canada issues to a natural health product. You can look up any NPN for free in Health Canada's Licensed Natural Health Products Database (LNHPD).
How to look one up
Find the NPN on the front or back label. Go to the LNHPD, search the number, and open the result. The licence lists the product name, the licence holder, each medicinal ingredient with its dose and source, and the exact wording of the approved claim.
What to compare
Check that the label's claim matches the licence word for word. Check that the licence holder is the company you think you're buying from. If the product makes a claim that isn't on the licence, the company is going beyond what Health Canada approved.
Our products
Every Fieldborn product page shows its NPN and links straight to the licence. Until a product has its NPN, we don't sell it.
